A few years ago I heard Olympia paper-cut artist, Nikki McClure speak at Village Books and I was inspired to print and frame a dozen of my face and food photos from the book. Over the past two years I have shown them at local places: Boundary Bay Brewery, The Mount Bakery, Tony’s Coffee, Mallards, Book Fare Café (at Village Books), Village Books’ reading gallery, Goat Mountain Pizza. I have been happy to add to the imaginations of children and adults.
My vision is to have my photos permanently in a local public school where they will continue to spark the imaginations of children. I’m looking for a buyer to purchase the set of ten face and food photos (five farmer’s faces and five food) and donate them to a particular school in Bellingham or to the district where they can rotate around to different schools through the years.
Set of ten framed photos: $1800. For the month of September, 40% of the proceeds will go to Common Threads Farm – kids seed-to-table education. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Photos will be on display at Ciao Thyme Café, 207 Unity Street, Bellingham during the month of September.
